PlayOnLinux Vault is a PlayOnLinux plugin which enables you to save and to restore your PlayOnLinux's applications. It is now integrated by default in PlayOnLinux.
New release (4.0.1) : 2012-03-15
You can download the PlayOnLinux Vault binary here.
Binaries are programs that can be directly used on your computer. If you just want to try or use PlayOnLinux Vault, it's a good choice.
If you don't know what to take, try "uname -m". If you are on Linux and you haven't installed it on your own, then your architecture should be i386 (first choice).
You can download the PlayOnLinux Vault sources here.
If you just want to try or use this program, please download the binaries (it's easier)

That would be great

Most of the time, the compression makes miracles for me (half the original size) but as you said, sometimes it doesn't and it could be very long.
I like the idea and I will implement it, but I have no promise concerning the date (maybe this week-end or in a couple of months).

It would be nice if I can choose if the archiv would or wouldn't be compressed because I noticed that compression takes only a lot of CPU time by only a weak (e. g. before: 8.3 gb; after: 8.0 gb) compression.
